How to get a direct image link
Direct links open as plain images in a new tab with no surrounding HTML chrome. They are what [img] tags expect.
Upload your file and open its detail page.
Locate the field labelled for direct or raw URL and copy it.
Paste into markdown  or BBCode image syntax.
If you only copied the gallery page URL, previews may break — return and copy the file URL instead.
Resize very large assets first so embeds load quickly.
Combine with conversion when the board prefers JPEG but you shot in PNG.
